Convert 1.44Mb Floppy to 720Kb Floppy Okay, poking around on Louis' pages answered my question, but I ran into a little catch... I need to decompress IBM's scsicdrm.exe but it will only let me do so to a 720 floppy. I have no 720 floppies! Annoynance. Does anyone have the files that could post them somewhere individually or perhaps in .zip format? -Justin Just tape over the "other" hole in the floppy casing. It should format at 720KB then. Tim And/or "FORMAT A: /F:720" (The PS/2 drives will do this; Newer 1.44Mb clone drives *won't*.). David David@gilanet.com I've run into a couple of FDDs that use a photosensor rather than a mechanical switch, so if you use tape, use opaque tape or tape a bit of paper over the hole. Regards, Al S. I've taken a 1.44 floppy and covered the hole with tape. That seemed to make the floppy drive think it was a 720k :) Can't hurt. -- ---------------------------------------------- Jesús M. Rodríguez
